Streaming For The Soul was thrilled at the equipment and services

During the last year Streaming for the Soul traveled heavily doing worldwide productions with Absolute Rentals gear. We’ve carried mountains of gear with us during these Streaming for the Soul productions, look a lot like the Joads striking out for California as we’d pull away from Absolute Rentals office in Burbank and head to the airport.

Canon C300 and Lenses

Streaming for the Soul has traveled across both oceans in the last year and we’ve relied heavily gear from Absolute Rentals for our live stream productions. In particular, we’ve become addicted to the Canon C300 cameras we rent from Absolute Rentals. The C300s have been amazing on our Streaming for the Soul Tours. We love the adaptability of the camera because live events come loaded with surprise variables but we know if we’ve rented the Canon C300s from Absolute Rentals, we’re pretty much prepared for anything.   The Canon C300s have been champs on all locations for us, especially when we find ourselves in low light situations.   One of our other recent productions in Sedona, Marco Missinato’s Unfolding Secrets concerts, turned out to be a great opportunity to take advantage of the Canon C300s beautiful image quality in low light and also motion imagery.

To really cut the C300 loose and get the full range of fun from the camera, we’ve often strapped some Teradek Bolt Pro 2000s – also rented from Absolute Rentals – to the C300s and let the cameras roam the stage wirelessly.   The Teradek Bolt Pro 2000s have been an awesome match when we rent the Canon C300s from Absolute Rentals because of the freedom of movement they’ve given our camera operators.   And using the Teradek Bolt Pro 2000 has been crucial working in crowded hotel ballrooms because one less cable for an audience member to trip over is a good thing, and not have to wrangle cable while trying to set up the right camera shot is also a good thing.   The Canon C300 images from the Teradek Bolt Pro 2000 coming into the Tricaster 455 or Tricaster 860 which we also rent from Absolute Rentals have been beautiful.   We love being able to get the C300s off the sticks and roaming free. It exponentially increases the possible angles we can shoot so we have greater variety in our look, so it raises the production value Streaming for the Soul can bring to their location shoots. Thank you Absolute Rentals!   The combination of the Canon C300 and the Teradek Bolt Pro 2000 has raised the bar on Streaming for the Soul productions while simplifying our lives by eliminating cabled connections to the Tricaster 455 or Tricaster 860.

In addition to our world travels with Absolute Rentals gear, we also use the Canon C300s, the Bolt Pro 2000, and the Tricaster 455 and Tricaster 855 more locally, streaming such events as the National Lacrosse finals at Chapman University in Orange Count, and on the roof tops of downtown LA for the EA release of their new video game, “Battleground” at this year’s E3 expo. We strapped a Canon C300 to a jib and the roof top shots from downtown LA were amazing.   Using the Teradek Bolt Pro 2000 again, along with the jib, we were thrilled to be cable free, and even happier with the quality of the images coming off of the Bolt Pro 2000.   It’s hard to imagine going back to SDI cabling after so many successful gigs using the Teradek Bolt Pro 2000 to wirelessly send our signal to the Tricaster 455 and the Tricaster 860.

After trekking to Montreal, Tokyo and Brussels, to name just a few of our stops this year, we can advise anyone unequivocally they should definitely rent the Canon C300, rent the Teradek Bolt Pro 2000, and rent the Tricaster 455 and Tricaster 860 from Absolute Rentals if you like your rentals nice and easy and you like high production value.   As far as we’re concerned at Streaming for the Soul, the Canon C300, the Teradek Bolt Pro 2000 and Absolute Rentals are a little like an American Express card – we don’t leave home without them.
